As a Senior Engineer, your role is to lead the development and solutioning of software projects. This role is critical to the success of TealBook and its software platform. By helping to develop solutions and offering mentorship and technical advice, you will ensure that high-quality software products are delivered on time. You will have the opportunity to mentor and grow members of the team in their technical abilities.


The Impact You Will Have

  • Lead technical discussions and mentorship for engineering projects within a team
  • Assist in interviewing, resource allocation planning, and mentoring
  • Identify and suggest solutions for technical gaps in our solutions and teams
  • Work with Product Managers to advise software development projects, including planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering projects on time
  • Work with stakeholders, customers, and team members to establish project goals and timelines
  • Design and implement software solutions in support of the TealBook platform
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the software development process to increase efficiency and quality, which may include implementing new tools, technologies, or methodologies and measuring the effectiveness of existing processes
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful delivery of software projects

What Are We Looking For?

  • 5+ years of experience in back-end software development and deployment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD standards
  • Familiarity with high-scale, highly-distributed backend systems
  • Ability to act independently, proactively, and in ambiguity to anticipate & solve problems before they arise
